Major League Baseball may be delayed due to the coronavirus outbreak, but that doesn't mean those of us who love the game have to go without our "fix".

Join Smiling Dog Entertainment for our first ever, Pro Baseball Online Trivia League!

Play from any phone, laptop, iPad, or desktop computer.  

Competition will be held for individual players and teams.

Pro Baseball Online Trivia League Rules

1.  Registration fee is $32.97 per team (or individual playing alone).

2.  This is both a team and individual game.  Individual players will also be included in team standings with their team name.  Individual standings will also be released each week.

3.  Maximum roster size is 7 players, however, only 5 players may be in the lineup for each game.  

4.  Team members do not need to be in the same location to play.  Each team member will answer the trivia questions independently whether they are in the same location or not.

5.  Team scores are computed by taking the average score of the individuals playing that week for that team, meaning teams of any size can compete against any other team of any size.

6.  Each team is guaranteed 10 weeks of play.

7.  League schedule will be nine weeks of regular season play, three weeks of play-offs, and one week for championship games (team and individual).

8.  Each game will consist of 27 questions (27 outs)

9.  Players will have 30 seconds to answer questions (amount of time between batters in major league baseball game)

10.  Questions 1-9 will be worth 50 points each

11.  Questions 10-18 will be worth 100 points each

12.  Questions 19-27 will be worth 200 points each

13.  Nine week regular season (9 innings in a game)

14.  Three week play-offs (up to 1/2 of the teams eliminated each week)

15.  Championship Games (individual and team) - Number of teams advancing to championship games will be determined by the number of teams registered for the league.

16.  Maximum number of players (not teams) is 500 or roughly 100 teams.

17.  If more than 500 players register we will add additional leagues.

18.  Please include the state in which you reside when completing your registration form.  If we end up with more than one league we will attempt to place teams from the same time zone in the same league.  

19.  Register for the East Coast League - Wednesday evenings at 7pm EST, Midwest League - Wednesday evenings at 7pm CST, or the West Coast League - Wednesday evenings at 7pm PST.

20.  A link to the game will be emailed to all participants by noon Tuesday the week of the game.

Because gambling laws vary widely from state to state, participation in the Pro Baseball Online Trivia League is for entertainment purposes only.  There are no prizes, other than bragging rights, for the winners.
